Where do YOU fit in? The General Laborer is responsible for supporting our Vactor crews in a specialized construction support services environment. The work can be physically demanding but above all else, it is extremely rewarding! Your success will directly impact the environment & quality of water in your community! Specific duties include but are not limited to: Assisting in setup and breakdown of equipment at jobsite Shop work / Housekeeping Assisting in cleaning of HVAC Systems Assisting in cleaning of catch basins / storm drains; car wash pits; potholing, and hydro-excavation, etc. Conduct all duties in professional, courteous and customer service focused manner Conduct all duties safely and maintain safety awareness at all times Proactive team player This is an entry level position. Willingness to cross train and work in all divisions is essential to this position. Basic requirements: Background screening, MVR review, and drug screening are part of the employment process. The ability to acquire a DOT health card; and maintain insurable status under company auto policy are ongoing requirements of this position. Proficient with mobile technology (i.e. iPads, laptops, email, etc.) At least 1 year recent work experience in the construction industry Able to perform duties in all types of weather conditions Must maintain our Company’s “No Jerk” culture Safety and customer service oriented Must be comfortable working on ladders, in confined spaces and utilizing all provided personal protective equipment Experience using a variety of hand and power tools Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members Must be reliable, dependable and flexible - shifts are typically weekdays but occasional night, weekend and out-of-town shifts may be required as needed
