Press release from Village of Vernon Hills: May 5, 2021 On May 4, the Village of Vernon Hills welcomed our newly elected leaders.     Congratulations to Village President Roger Byrne and Trustees Thom Koch, Nancy Forster and Michael Schenk, who were sworn in by retired Federal Judge Samuel Der-Yeghiayan. Congratulations, also, to Trustee Craig Takaoka, who was sworn in at an earlier date by Village Manager Mark Fleischhauer. During the Tuesday evening meetings, the Village also formally bade farewell to retiring Trustee James Schultz, who did not run for re-election. On behalf of the entire community, thank you to Jim for his 16 years of service as a Village Trustee.Thank you to all who expressed interest in serving our community during the April election.
