FRANKFORT, IL — A Frankfort man has been charged with residential burglary in connection to a February break-in in the 300 block of North Maple Street, according to Frankfort Police Department. Brian Rudnicki, 25, of the 300 block of Maple, has been charged with residential burglary, criminal trespass to residence and criminal damage to property.
On Feb. 23, Frankfort Police responded to a burglary in progress at an apartment complex on Maple Street. According to police, the resident had heard noises near her sliding patio door and saw unknown people standing outside. One person broke the glass, and entry was made into the apartment, police said. The resident fled unharmed and called 911, but the offenders had fled and were not located.

Through investigation, Rudnicki was identified as a suspect and the case was presented to the Will County State's Attorney's Office on Tuesday, and an arrest warrant was secured, according to police.
Rudnicki was taken into custody Wednesday morning, police said. Rudnicki was transferred to the Will County Adult Detention Facility, and bond has been set at $150,000.
