Local UA Students Participate In Fall 2020 Cooperative Education

TUSCALOOSA, AL — More than 156 University of Alabama students received hands-on educational experiences with dozens of companies and organizations across the United States through UA's Cooperative Education Program for fall 2020. Participants maintain their full-time student status while at work and have priority registration status each semester through graduation. Local students who participated: Sebastian Loo Guerrero de Luna of Homewood worked for BL Harbert International.Brian Barr of Mountain Brook worked for Brasfield & Gorrie.Braxton Bryant of Hoover worked for Essity Professional Hygiene.Sarah Moates of Hoover worked for Hunt Refining Company.Arrez Charania of Hoover worked for Mercedes Benz.Tyler Strong of Hoover worked for Robins & Morton.Cory Weems of Trussville worked for Southern Company Services, a Southern Company.Yakera Ward of Bessemer worked for WestRock-Atlanta Corporate.Jackson Doss of Vestavia Hills worked for WestRock-Demopolis. While in school, students carry regular course schedules. While on co-op, they work with professionals in their fields who supervise their training and work. At work, co-op students earn competitive salaries and may receive benefit packages in addition to valuable job experience.
