Essential Functions: Set out signs and cones around work areas to divert traffic. Direct vehicle traffic and flag motorists to warn them of road work ahead. Operate pilot vehicle to direct live vehicle traffic. Erect, install, or repair road shoulders, berms, highway markers, and warning signals using hand tools and power tools. Remove litter and debris from roadways, including debris from rock. Dump, spread, and tamp asphalt to repair joints and patch broken pavement. Measure and mark locations for installation of markers, using tape, string, or chalk. Paint traffic control lines and place pavement traffic messages, by hand or using machines. Clean equipment or facilities. Pour materials into or on designated areas. Spread concrete or other aggregate mixtures onto surfaces. Dismantle equipment or temporary structures. Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor.
