This position is responsible for the care, feeding and cleaning of all animals on the ranch as well as maintenance of the property and facility. This position works entirely outdoors. You must be willing to work in all types of weather conditions as well as weekends and some holidays. Worker needs to be able to lift at least 100 lbs. and do heavy manual labor for extended periods of time. Experience with horses and ranch work is a plus but not necessary – we can teach you what you need to know. English speaking is required and it would be preferable if you could read simple instructions in English as well. The ability to be flexible with changing situations and work schedule/hours is required. This is a full time, 40 hour week, position. Salary is minimum wage plus the ability to live on-site rent free in a trailer with all utilities paid (living arrangements will not start until the candidate has completed a 6 week probationary period). Work schedule consists of 4 nine hour days plus 4 hours on Sunday. Two days off a week alternating between Wed & Thu one week and Fri & Sat the next week. Must be able to follow instructions and protocols and adapt to changing conditions. References required Responsibilities include but not limited to: Pasture and pen cleaning, raking, sweeping, feeding horses and animals (morning, lunch, evening), cleaning water bins, grounds maintenance (raking, weed whacking, weeding, debris removal, trenching, rain water management, trash emptying), facility maintenance (fence repair/maintenance, pipe repair, trail repair, moving dirt, tree trimming, etc.), wash vehicles, yard maintenance of residences, basic equipment operation (weed whacker, chain saw, air compressor, hand tools).
