Large moving and storage company in El Cajon is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee the efficient receipt, storage and release of a wide range of customer goods, and commercial storage. They will manage and oversee people, processes and systems; ensure productivity targets are met and maintain the security of the facility and all the goods stored in it; will ensure workplace health and safety requirements are being met.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
§ recruiting and training of staff;
§ monitoring the performance and progress of staff;
§ communicating with other departments;
§ overseeing stock control and processing orders;
§ ensuring quality, delivery, budget and environmental objectives are met ;
§ fulfilling objectives and directions from the operation's headquarters;
§ coordinating the use of automated and computerized systems;
§ responding to and dealing with customer communication by email, fax and telephone;
§ keeping tracking and control systems up to date;
§ planning future capacity requirements;
§ producing regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis;
§ briefing team leaders on a daily basis;
§ visiting customers to monitor the quality of service they are receiving;
§ maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment;
§ overseeing the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment;
§ MUST have Forklift Certification to be considered
