I am an Oregon Registered In-home Child Care Facility and experienced grandmother and child care provider. Puddletown Kids is prepared to meet all of your requirements for healthy, attentive, nurturing care for your little one in my cozy and beautiful South East Portland home. My background experience includes: Full-time child care for infants and toddlers La Leche League Lactation Consultant Children's Theater director & board member Dance Teacher in movement and rhythm development, early tap and ballet Your child's safety, well being, comfort, and joy are my ultimate goal while you are away. I work to provide the best developmental learning experience in the comfort of home. Your infant or toddler will be preschool – kindergarten ready when they leave my care. I potty train, work on social skills and group dynamics, and provide age appropriate educational curriculum. For children this age I aspire to create an experience that challenges limitations while welcoming growth and personal expansion in an environment that provides for the education of body, mind, and spirit. I hope to help a child become "self-sufficient", able to entertain her/himself while alone in activities, and play cooperatively with others. I believe that this is part of a healthy balance to achieve as a child matures. This confidence and sense of independence, combined with social skills, are necessary for cooperative community building. • I follow all requested dietary instructions and provide nutritious, primarily organic meals and snacks. • I support the use of cloth diapers and nursing moms and babies. If mom works nearby she is welcome to stop in during the day to nurse and/or pump. • We enjoy spending our time together indoors, as well as getting plenty of fresh air outdoors in the country-like setting of my home. • The children's play-time includes a variety of structured activities as well as free-time play. • We focus some playtime on learning the basics as age appropriate; colors, numbers, ABC's, and learning about nature and sciences through: Reading books and circle time Education centered games and puzzles Art: painting, play-dough, making creations from natural products, exploring movement and a variety of musical genres Discovering nature while enjoying outdoor activities, rain or shine I provide the following: Breakfast, Lunch AM and PM snacks Wipes and changing necessities - You provide the diapers CARE ~ A loving, safe, and rich environment for your child to grow and thrive Let's get started!
