The Recreation Department at the City of Solana Beach is currently looking for fun, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and friendly Summer Camp Leaders who want to be a part of a great team and community! If you are passionate about giving back and helping young kids create a memorable and exciting summer, then this job is for YOU! This is a Part-Time Seasonal/Temporary Position. Hours worked may not exceed 1000 hours per Fiscal Year Position does not offer benefits. Applicants must be able to work the following dates: June 24, 2021 (training day) and June 28, 2021 to August 13, 2021 Monday thru Friday with the ability to work up to 40 hours per week THE POSITION: The Recreation Leader is required to perform a full range of duties as assigned, working independently and exercising judgment and initiative. Recreation Leaders receive instruction and/or assistance during the day from the Recreation Manager and/or the Senior Recreation Leader. Recreation Leaders must be able to adjust when new or unusual situations arise, and should be fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work. Independent judgment is required to identify, select, and apply the most appropriate City and departmental guidelines and procedures. This position is open until filled.
