Strong, Smart, High End Landscape Installation Crew Members Needed
Jobs
Austin TX
Description
We are a fun and generous company to work for. You are welcome to get paid as much as you are worth. We start at $16 per hour but give frequent raises and bonuses based on performance. We pay more because we need guys who are above average. Unfortunately, you cannot teach having a good work ethic. You either have it or you do not. All of our crew and foremen have impressive work ethics. You will need to be consistent for them to not push you out of the nest. Another reason we pay more than other landscape companies is that We Actually Guarantee our work. So if a tree or plant dies, a fountain stops working etc...we repair it immediately, no questions asked. We are not in the business of replacing landscapes. So we need guys who care and will make sure it gets done right the first time. Our landscapes are unique in their style. We have a wide range but people come to us for a cool, functional landscape. Nothing cookie cutter about us. We design and install some Very Cool landscapes for some very cool people. There is a lot of gratification in seeing the fruits of your labor on a daily basis. And it is really cool to go back years later and see how things have matured. We do have some pretty reasonable requirements. 1: You need to have your own reliable transportation. Not shared transportation. Everyone gets themselves to and from work. We are sometimes at several sites within one day. We mainly work in Austin, Westlake, Bee Cave, Dripping springs etc. We go where ever we are appreciated. 2:You must maintain a good attitude or at least not share bad vibes with the guys. The work is hard enough. Nobody wants to listen to someone complain about their life all day. 3: You need to be Strong, Smart and a Self-starter. We are not hiring guys that need to be watched over constantly. We need guys that do not need to be told what to do all day long. Again, we want Self-starters. We do not watch over shoulders. We are hiring grown men. Not kids. When I say strong, I mean that if you're able to easily lift 100 lbs, your day will be a lot easier. It is not everyday that will be needed but the days that require it do come around and you will need to be able to do your fair share. Nobody is going to want to carry or wheelbarrow extra loads because you can't keep up. That is not fair to the other guys. Our guys consider this job a paid workout, basically. If you are willing to put in the work, it will workout. 4: You must be polite and articulate. Often times clients will have questions and you will need to be able to articulate whats going on and why. Breakdown: Good attitude Reliable transportation Strong Articulate We work 40 hours a week year round. We stay booked out months in advance. I have had this business for 18 years now. I have found the best way to go about hiring for this position is to do a fully paid 1 month tryout period. You will get paid $16 per hour while you are trying out. * Usually, we all figure out if it is going to work within 2 weeks. After the 1 month, you are eligible for a $1 raise. Again, raises are based on performance. By the time we have all worked together for a month, you can decide if you like the job and our current employees can figure out if they want you on their team or not. We are hiring immediately. If you can make yourself stand apart from the crowd, please do. Please send pics, accomplishments, qualifications, skills, trades etc. Please, mention if you are able to operate a bobcat or other heavy machinery. Please be able to lift 100 lbs Please be articulate. Send pics if you can. That will stand out the most. We prefer someone with experience but we're willing to train if you're willing to learn. Our base pay is $16 per hour. We give Raises and bonuses as frequently as You Can Earn one. Some of the more senior guys make really good money. All of our foreman were once crew guys. We promote guys from within, based on their performance and reliability. Texting me is the fastest way to get my attention. Email is 2nd best way. Please do not call me. Please do not call me. Do not call me...I will be working on worksites and unable to answer. If you call me you won't get a shot because you have already dropped the ball by not reading this. I look forward to hearing from some good guys that need a good job.
