Job Title: Detailer Department: A TA & Garage Reports to: Lot Supervisor Summary: Our goal is to provide a superior product over our competition by providing well conditioned vehicles while maintaining a high level of volume and quality. General Description: Your duties will not be limited to the detailing department. In the event we should run out of vehicles that need to be detailed, you will help the rest of the CSA staff wash any vehicles necessary. You will be provided with all the necessary tools and supplies to complete your duties. Supplies such as spray bottles, towels and uniforms will be issued to you at the time of employment. You will be expected to bring these supplies with you to work every day and come dressed appropriately in your uniform. The employee will be responsible for lost or damaged supplies. Lockers are available in the break room if you would like to bring in a lock to secure your supplies at the end of your shift or while on breaks. These are a general description of your job duties but are not limited to what is listed above. Detail Procedures: Every morning you will receive a list of vehicles that need to be detailed. This is the list you MUST follow as the work will be done according to priority. 1. ALWAYS walk around and inspect vehicle to ensure there is no prior damage. Inspect the vehicle inside and out. If there is any damage, immediately report it to a supervisor or manager. 2. Make sure there are no items left in the vehicle from the previous renter. If you find ANYTHING THAT IS NOT YOURS, you are to bring the item to your manager/ supervisor or to the FastBreak booth located in the garage (where lost and found is housed). 3. Wash the vehicle in the proper location. Standard fleet vehicles may go through the car wash. Any vehicles such as a Cadillac, Corvette, and BMW etc… may NEVER go through the wash. These are to be hand washed at the pressure washer and dried at your work station. 4. Ensure that the interior of the vehicle including the seats, carpets, headliner, dash and any other surface in the cab are cleaned and shampooed (if necessary). 5. The tires on the vehicles need to be treated with Armor All. 6. When the vehicle is finished, it will be your responsibility to bring it to the appropriate location (per your supervisor) and log it on your vehicle log. Expectations: Your work will be evaluated daily for cleanliness, consistency and time spent. We expect you to balance these duties and to prioritize. The lot changes every day, and we expect you to function and meet the productivity standards that we set forth on a dynamic basis. You are expected, on average, to complete between 2 and 4 vehicles per hour for your entire shift. At the end of your shift, your vehicle log will be turned into the dispatch booth. You are to show up in the appropriate uniform that will be supplied at the time of employment. It is expected that you will show up to work on time for your scheduled shift and stay until your shift is completed. You are to complete the appropriate amount of vehicles as described by your supervisor and/or manager. If there are no vehicles to clean you are expected to continue, but not limited to, the duties listed above. You are to take your scheduled lunch breaks and return from them on time. While driving a company vehicle on the property, there is a 5-mph speed limit. Please be cautious while navigating through the lot, as there are people walking around it 24 hours per day. If you have interaction with customers, please be kind, courteous and as helpful as possible. If you do not have the ability to help them, please refer them to a Supervisor, Manager or the Fast Break booth for further assistance.
