SquadLocker’s Rhode Island-based headquarters is actively searching for first shift (7:30am to 3:30pm) Warehouse Clerks to join our team in boosting the overall efficiency of the production lifecycle. As a Warehouse Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately picking customer orders for shipment. Additionally, Warehouse Clerks are responsible for ensuring the correct merchandise type and quantity is received according to the purchase order, guaranteeing orders are shipped in a timely fashion via automated FedEx ship manager or Shipworks and maintaining accurate inventory via cycle counting. You will work cooperatively with team members to maintain the security of the warehouse and product. In this hands-on, entry-level position, you will be tasked with loading, unloading and moving merchandise using a pushcart, hand truck or pallet jack. You may also operate heavy machinery, including mechanical lifts. This role will allow you the opportunity to learn about the entire production process, the people involved and how to troubleshoot when problems occur. Key Responsibilities • Fulfill customer orders via accurate and timely picking and shipping utilizing RF scanner • Verify correct SKU, quantity and merchandise received on all purchase orders • Operate push carts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and/or mechanical lifts • Maintain safety and security of the warehouse and product • Transport finished products away from the work area • Ensure workstations/work areas are clean and safe • Maintain physical condition and order of warehouse by inspecting and organizing the products on the shelves • Additional responsibilities as assigned Qualifications We are looking for ambitious individuals with a history of high achievement and the desire to work in a fast-paced environment with peers who challenge them to be better. Qualified candidates will have: • 1 to 3 years’ order picking or warehouse shipment experience • Thorough understanding of the manufacturing lifecycle a plus • Ability to commit to flexible schedule and prompt arrival for shifts • Ability to regularly lift and/or move objects up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift objects with unique size and weight • Willingness and commitment to work OT hours as needed, weekends/holidays • Proficient level of critical thinking and outstanding attention to detail • Excellent vision, coordination and organization skills • Possess basic math, reading and computer skills • Capability to perform multiple tasks and manage several jobs at the same time About You • Fast learner with the ability to grasp new concepts quickly • Persuasive, amiable, self-motivated and goal-oriented • Naturally curious, passionate and have a “whatever it takes” attitude • Enjoy working in a team environment • Adjusts quickly to changing priorities and conditions; Copes effectively with complexity and change • Possesses a strong willingness to work hard and put in the extra effort to get the job done SquadLocker is an equal opportunity employer.
