WHAT TO EXPECT IN THE JOB ROLE: A. Assist in the repair all company equipment utilizing safe and cost effective means. B. Responsible for working in a safe manner. C. Interface with inside and outside departments. MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: A. Ability to assist in repairs - solve complex repairs. B. Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures in an interruptive environment. C. Ability to use tools and equipment designed for the maintenance of heavy duty truck and trailer equipment. D. Ability to lift and carry objects up to 75 pounds. E. Frequent bending and twisting. EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: A. In process of mechanic certification is preferred B. Those without certifications are encouraged to apply, as on the job training can be provided to the right candidate The Mechanic Trainee reports directly to the Maintenance Operations Manager. The Mechanic Trainee has no supervisory authority.
