Lumber Order Builder/Forklift operator needed. Willing to provide training! Work available year-round & is NOT affected by COVID!! (However: masks are required when indoors or while in 6' range of customers) Title: Lumber-Handler/Order Builder/Forklift Operator Hours: Anticipate full time, 35+/week Pay: Dependent on experience, willing to negotiate Offer: 401k, PTO, generous member purchase discount, a great team to join & more.. Work: available year-round. Training: On the job training, available if necessary. You will be expected to: -Have the physical ability to lift 40-60lbs + -Know basic math/measuring skills (read tape measure) -Keep up in a fast-paced work environment -Come prepared for work in any outdoor conditions -Read receipts and communicate via walkie-talkie radios -Know/learn basic lumber/building/pipe material -Have great and friendly customer service -Fill propane tanks -Operate the forklift -Know/learn layout of buildings, yard, lean to and supplies -Strap material together & strap load on trucks -Assist both, “do-it-yourself” and professional contractor customers -Wear proper work wear, OSHA approved boots, Jeans, T shirt -Work well in a team focused setting -Be reliable with good attendance. -Safely work with saws, equipment and machinery Duties include but are not limited to: -Verifying & loading materials on deliveries and/or will-calls -Follow written/verbal instructions. -Read, understand, and follow laws, rules, regulations, and procedures -Daily stocking of incoming products -Build orders accurately and quickly -Load orders onto the trucks for delivery -Assist in keeping a clean and safe workplace We are looking for someone who is a driven, well-rounded, quick and confident worker and learner. Must be willing to start as soon as possible, we understand there may be a transition period from one job to another and we are prepared for those cases. You must have excellent communication and listening skills, being open to taking instruction from senior employees and have the ability to take initiative when it's slow, to catch up on other work around the yard like clean up and stocking.
