2101 Cooperative, Inc. is a high rise community located at 21st and Walnut Streets, just a few blocks from Rittenhouse Square. We are currently seeking a skilled maintenance mechanic to fill a full time position and be part of our team in providing excellent service to our Shareholders. The hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Salary is $18.00 per hour. After completing a 90 day probationary period, you will be eligible for health insurance, dental insurance, vision, short term and long term disability, life insurance and paid vacation days, sick days and personal days, and 401(K). Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: • Assist in all maintenance projects. • Perform electrical, plumbing, hardware and appliance repairs as instructed. • Replace broken tiles, screens, fixtures, fluorescent lights, fuses and other items necessary for proper building maintenance. • Participate in stand-by emergency schedule for evenings, weekends or holiday coverage. • Have knowledge of all water, gas and electrical shut-off's. • Keep all physical plant equipment clean and in good condition. • Keep all storage areas, storage bins, workrooms, boiler room neat and clean at all times. • Report to the Maintenance Engineer and/or General Manager immediately any potential problems with equipment. • Complete all request for maintenance before 5:00 p.m. daily unless the Maintenance Engineer, General Manager or Assistant Manager authorizes a "hold". Qualifications • High School or Trade school education • Mechanically inclined - do not apply if you do not have maintenance experience • Ability in basic maintenance procedure • Ability to follow instruction and a desire to do a good job • Personable and trustworthy • Pass a criminal background check Please submit a resume in order to be considered for an interview.
