GROUNDSKEEPING SUPERVISOR ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, include but are not limited to: Preferred 3-5 years of Grounds Management experience. Manage & supervise 6-8 man grounds crew staff. Knowledge of athletic field turf and clay maintenance. Turf/Ornamental/Chemical Applicator license a plus. Serves as a working lead, performs day to day assignments in addition to lead duties. Plans & coordinates the grounds maintenance operations, plans work schedule, makes work assignments & inspects both finished projects as well as work in progress. Maintains equipment such as: PTO mowers, tractors, mowers, edgers, trimmers, blowers, utility vehicles & pressure washers. Maintains & replaces a wide variety of landscape plants, flowers and trees. Maintains & repairs grounds equipment including; irrigation systems & water features. Maintains written/electronic records of work performed, staff hours, purchases, equipment maintenance & fertilization/chemical application records. Implements & maintains a sound safety program. Analyzes manpower requirements and issues specific assignments in a manner to ensure the most effective utilization of personnel and equipment. Maintains high standards of cleanliness/organization of all work areas and appearance.
