We just purchased a home in South Salt Lake with 70 year old solid oak floors hidden under layers of carpet. For the most part the wood is in good shape but needs to be refinished. One area near the bathroom has some pretty bad water damage & will need to be replaced (see last two photos). The floors appear to be 2-1/4" oak strip. They have clearly been sanded a couple times and the remaining thickness is under 1/2" so I am hoping to be able to refinish them with just buffing and only very light spot sanding to preserve as much material as possible. Total area is about 450 s.f.
Looking for an experienced hardwood installer-refinisher to restore these floors to their former glory! Please let me know how soon you would be available to start.
Thanks!
