Lead Carpenter/Foreman Trainee Full-time Job Starting at $20/hour Volunteer Fence Pros, LLC, New Market, TN As a Lead Carpenter/Foreman Trainee, you will lead the construction/installation of various types of residential and commercial fencing that results in a quality finished product. Carpentry experience is preferred, but not required if you’re willing to learn. Opportunity for advancement exists. Jobs are within a 50-mile radius of Knoxville. Responsibilities: Reviews customer contracts specifying the type of fence and diagram of install on customer’s property to clarify work to be completed before leaving on assignments Ensures company truck is equipped with all material and tools necessary to complete assigned projects Arrives with the crew at job-site at the time communicated to the customer Responsible for laying out the project on the job-site Leads the crew in performing all aspects of projects in a timely and safe manner, including but not limited to loading/unloading job materials and equipment, use of various carpentry tools such as hammers, levels, angles, tape measures, drills, air compressors, and power nail guns Learns detailed workflow for construction/installation of various types of fences and leads crew through the steps Communicates effectively with the crew and contributes to a positive team environment Qualifications: Basic math skills including using a tape measure and angles Experience using other carpentry tools such as hammers, levels, drills, air compressors, and power nail guns is preferred Must be willing and able to learn, follow directions and remember details Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks Call 865-888-5511 to setup an interview or email resume
