DESCRIPTION/JOB PURPOSE: Drivers drive, control, and maintain trucks equipped with dump body to transport and dump materials needed for assignments in a safe, efficient manner. Drivers will work in a fast-paced, physically-intense environment. Safety is a top priority for Drivers and must have knowledge of safe operations including three points of contact, rules of the road, and abide by DOT safety requirements. Drivers report directly to the Foreman/Supervisor. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: >Physical Labor at utility construction projects >Transport and dump loose materials such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, or bituminous paving materials >Performs daily inspection on equipment for issues and/or deficiencies >Completes inspection paperwork daily and notifies the Foreman/Supervisor of any issues/defects >When not driving, will assist crew as needed >Adheres to all DOT safety requirements >Performs other duties as assigned POSITION REQUIREMENTS: >Position includes a minimum of 8 hours and 5 days. >Depending on a task or job, job duties may be unforeseen 24 hours, 7 days a week, subject to Massachusetts law. >Supervisor contact is subject to company organizational chart and or directed by the CEO. >Employee travel, travel time, and expense is at employee responsibility, unless directed by the CEO in writing. CERTIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS: >1C-2A Hoisting License (at least) >Valid Commercial Driver's License Class A (preferred) or Class B >DOT Medical Examiners Certificate >OSHA 10 Certification
