Guitarist chasing a feeling more than a style

I'm a 41-year-old guitarist new to the area and looking for people to play with - bass, drums, possibly keys and/or second guitar. I'm an experienced musician in a variety of settings - I've played jazz guitar, I've done dead covers, I've played drums in an alt country band and a heavy psych/indie rock band, I do fingerpicking acoustic folk (Elizabeth Cotten, John Fahey, Mississippi John Hurt), I used to know a bit of bluegrass banjo, etc. I'm just interested in playing with good musicians, and I'm more looking for that *feeling* that comes from chemistry and soul and good listening rather than looking to play a particular style. I'd like to play casually at first and maybe gig a bit but I work full time and have kids so I'm not looking to play out 4 nights a week or tour. I'm comfortable with many styles and would try pretty much anything other than fast metal/chops-busting prog (I like that stuff too it just doesn't work with my playing style). Some music I like: Fugazi, Tortoise, Jim O'Rourke, Big Thief, James Brown, Miles Davis, Yes, Weather Report, Joni Mitchell, Judee Sill, Bert Jansch, Fairport Convention, Richard and Linda Thompson, Caribou, Tropical Fuck Storm/The Drones, Smog/Bill Callahan, The Meters, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Hendrix, Bach, Shostakovich, Stravinsky, Grateful Dead, Milton Nascimento, Future, MF Doom, Wu-Tang, Fela Kuti, various African guitar pop (Franco & OK Jazz, King Sunny Ade, etc.), Dirty Projectors, Beach House, Four Tet, you get the idea Send me recordings/video if you have any and I'll do the same.
