Just like anything, you get what you pay for. Most Petshops don't want to pay for the proper equipment to keep axolotls healthy while they are selling them with Hope's to sell them before they get sick. Unfortunately Axolotls do not sell fast and they do tend to sit in petshops way too long. If you see axolotls in your local petshop you should ask why? If the water is chilled and they are doing it properly then great. Small chance of this ever happening though and the majority of petshops won't carry them because they need to be colder than the rest of the animals in order to maintain health. You can find axolotls from $20 to $2000...Axolotls sold at $20 each were probably raised in poor conditions and huge numbers while ripping each others limbs off and causing deformities...Do you want healthy axolotls or sick axolotls? 56l 236 O667
