Check out some of the most spectacular and largest kites in the United States when Great American Kites visits Lowe Park. ** THIS EVENT IS FREE TO THE PUBLIC, BUT ADVANCED RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED (limited capacity)** Reservations open on Wednesday, May 5 at 12:00 p.m. Please sign up for one ticket for each person (adult or child). Each person attending will need to have a reserved ticket in order to help us accurately track attendance at the event for safety precautions. You may reserve up to six tickets on one order. In an attempt to accommodate as many guests as possible and maintain a safe environment, please sign up for only one time slot: 10-11:30 a.m.11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.1-2:30 p.m.2:30-4 p.m.Arrive any time within your designated time-slot that is convenient for you, but we ask that you please leave the event space by the end of your designated session to allow the next wave of guests to enjoy the show in a safe environment. (This is a come-and-go event.) Valid reservations allow you in the reserved seating/viewing area and allow you park in the Irish Drive parking lot in Lowe Park. No walk-ins will be permitted into the reserved area of the event. The Marion Parks and Recreation Department is excited to host Great American Kites. Great American Kites specializes in producing the most astonishing and colorful outdoor giant kite displays, with over 15 years of providing giant kite flying experiences, unique aerial displays, and once-in-a-lifetime experiences all through the wonder of kites. Displays will engrave incredible memories for all ages. Guests should bring lawn chair or blankets for seating. Outside food and drink is permitted, there will be no food service or vendors on site. Staff working at events will wear a mask per the Linn County mask mandate.Staff will also take their temperature prior to reporting for work and will stay home if they are experiencing any symptoms such as fever, muscle aches, or headache. Hand sanitizer stations will be provided at the entrance of the event and/or clearly identifiable event space.High-touch surfaces will be regularly disinfected.Here is what is expected of event attendees... Attendees over the age of two are required to wear a mask when six feet of distance cannot be maintained between members of separate households.The Linn County mask mandate is currently in effect and, at this time, includes those who have received vaccines.Please be respectful of others’ space, especially when visiting the restroom, visiting a booth (if applicable), and selecting a place to sit.Attendees should stay home if they’re feeling ill, even if the illness is mild.
