Description
A cultural event to “think again” about Soil. Soil is part of our Mother Earth, a provider of health, wealth, prosperity and science. We will be focusing on essential regenerative practices, Indigenous knowledge, and a human's role in communion with the Earth. This is an opportunity to dive deeper into these concepts to repair our soil and ourselves, as an act of love for humanity. Local poet laureate and performer, CJ Suitt, will lead us through speakers on soil science, composting, soil conservancy, Tall Grass Food Box panel discussion on Black farmers and farming legacies. We will have outdoor workshops with NC clay making pinch pots and printing locally produced t-shirts with plants. There will also be an on-site farm tour, art exhibition and a soil-themed fashion show, along with vendors sprinkled about the venue providing soil-related offerings, opportunities and information. Please review the schedule of events below. General admission will allow you to see and hear the workshops and fashion show but if you want to participate or get your own exclusive seat to the show you will have to purchase an add-on ticket. The workshops require add-on tickets. The fashion show add-on ticket will get you a front row seat.
