Midpen Media's 2-Week Media Making Summer Day Camp The Midpen Media Center is now offering in-person summer camp experiences! With masks required and social distancing enforced, Midpen Media is preparing to welcome limited numbers of youth creators back into our studio for a summer daycamp media-making experience. From TikTok to YouTube to Television, this 2-week summer camp experience provides an all-encompassing hands-on approach to media-making using modern tools and technology. Join our instructors Emily and Pedro on an educational journey through media production in every form. As our students drive the creative process, they’ll have the chance to: Produce or star in a professional studio television showWrite and record a podcastCreate a short documentaryPresent a final video project to be screened for families and shown on local televisionMaster the art of light design and sound designAcquire professional media skills that will stand out on college and job applicationsThis deeply valuable creative playspace will conclude with a family-and-friends awards ceremony and official screening of student final projects. As our students work to produce a high-quality video production, creative energy will be their greatest tool for this summer camp experience! Session Dates: June 21 - July 2nd, Monday Through Friday 9:30AM - 3:30PM About Midpen Media Midpen Media is a local community access television service and center that encourages community engagement, facilitates free speech, inspires creative expression and reflects our local cultural diversity by providing high-quality media resources and training to members of our community. The organization has provided important local free speech access to video production and television programming opportunities for the people in the Silicon Valley communities of Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Atherton, East Palo Alto, Stanford, and other areas of San Mateo and Santa Clara counties since 1990.
