Police Identify Pawtucket Man Killed In Attleboro Crash

ATTLEBORO, MA — Massachusetts State Police have identified the Pawtucket man killed in a crash on I-95 in Attleboro Thursday morning as 19-year old Hernane Ribeiro, according to a news release. Police say the crash took place at approximately 3 a.m. south of Exit 6 and involved a 2010 Hyundai Accent driven by Ribeiro and a tractor trailer. An initial investigation revealed that Ribeiro crashed into the rear of the tractor trailer, said police. He was transported to Rhode Island Hospital and later pronounced dead. A 19-year-old female passenger from Brockton, whose identity has not yet been released, was also transported to Rhode Island Hospital with minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation and no further information is available at this time.
