Roundy's Shooting Case Closed With No Clear Motive: WCSO

WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI—Authorities have closed the investigation into the March 16 shooting at Roundy's Distribution Center after finding no clear motive. The Waukesha County Sheriff's Office and the City of Oconomowoc Police Department led the investigation. "We understand this was a difficult time for all that were involved," authorities said in a news release. "We want to reassure everyone that detectives interviewed family members, friends, hundreds of Roundy's employees and community members. We also investigated all tips that were received and forensically examined devices and social media accounts. In conclusion, we have not determined a clear motive as to why these incidents took place." The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department previously asked for the public's help to find anyone who may have first-hand information that could help with the shooting investigation. The Waukesha County Sheriffs Department and the City of Oconomowoc Police Department said at the time that they had exhausted all investigative methods. Two workers were killed in the shooting on March 16. Kevin Kloth, 50, of Germantown and Kevin Schneider, 39, of West Allis were identified as the victims. Fraron Cornelius, 41, of Wauwatosa shot and killed two co-workers at the distribution center, according to police. The incident unfolded after 10:30 p.m. at the distribution center. Police dispatched to the site found two people dead. Union stewards at the warehouse said the two men were shot in different areas of the massive warehouse, according to Thomas Bennett, the secretary-treasurer of General Teamsters Local Union No. 200. Bennett said he was unaware of any dispute between the shooter and the victims, who were all members of the union. The suspect's car was found in Milwaukee County, and a pursuit ensued. The car crashed, and the suspect died at the scene from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said. The Associated Press contributed to this report.
