ROCKVILLE, MD — Montgomery County Public Schools has reduced its quarantine guidelines from 14 days after a student or staff member has been exposed to COVID-19.
The required isolation period now lasts 10 days.
"In alignment with updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and from state and local officials, MCPS has updated its guidelines related to quarantine and isolation," the school system said in a statement posted online. "Previously, MCPS required individuals who tested positive for COVID-19 to isolate for 14 days."
