A free screening of the Ghost Army documentary and special tribute to the unit in honor of Ghost Army Recognition Day - June 6. War, deception and art come together in the astonishing true story of The Ghost Army of WWII. This extraordinary group of soldiers tricked the Germans on the battlefields of Europe with rubber tanks, sound effects, and carefully crafted illusions. They are credited with saving tens of thousands of lives. Now Missouri has designated June 6 as Ghost Army Recognition Day. To pay tribute to these WWII masters of deception, the Ghost Army Legacy Project and Branson’s IMAX Entertainment Complex present a special program honoring the unit. This will include a special tribute to the Ghost Army and a screening of the award-winning documentary “The Ghost Army of WWII.” This event is free of charge, but reservations are required and space is limited. There will be a reception following the screening.
