GREENWICH, CT— One of Greenwich's own is headed to the NFL. Scooter Harrington, a 6-foot-5 inch, 250 pound tight end from Stanford University and Greenwich High School has signed as an undrafted free agent with the Chicago Bears. As a fifth-year senior at Stanford, Harrington played in all six games and started four of them, catching eight passes for 58 yards and scoring two touchdowns. Harrington was a member of the Pac-12 Fall Academic Honor Roll in 2019, and was honorable mention in 2018 and 2017. In his senior year for Big Red as team captain, he had 24 receptions for 240 yards and two touchdowns. Harrington's accolades at Greenwich High School include being named as a two-time all-star first team selection, and a two-time all-league first team selection. He was also honored as a two-time USA Today all-state member, and had a Hearst Connecticut Media Super 33 designation in 2015. Harrington was a standout lacrosse player for GHS as well, and was a National Football Foundation National High School Scholar-Athlete and National Honor Society member.
