Celebrate congregations from all over Lancaster who joined forces to plant over 100 trees on their congregational grounds. Join Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake and our partners today for a ceremony to plant a “Unity Tree” to commemorate this effort and celebrate people of faith working together to heal our environment. Hear from inspiring speakers and gather (safely, with masks) with other people of faith who care deeply about the watershed we all share. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all time. What to ExpectParticipants should wear comfortable clothing for the weather. Should there be a forecast of weather conditions that would make the event unsafe, participants will be notified of a cancellation 24 hours prior to the event. What is Lancaster Water Week?Leading the way to clean water by protecting over 7,000 acres of wild lands, the Lancaster Conservancy created Lancaster Water Week to connect us all to clean water. We need clean water to fish, swim and drink, but over half of Lancaster’s 1,400 miles of streams and rivers are polluted. The good news? We can solve this problem together!
