Lead Fulfillment and Operations person for sustainability company

Hello! We are Bagito. Located in downtown Santa Cruz, we make and custom brand premium reusable shopping bags and other reusable products made from 100% recycled plastics. We complete the sustainability loop by donating a portion of the proceeds from each product sold directly to our sister K-12 environmental literacy project, Power2Sustain.org which teaches and empowers students to sustain their natural world. Some of our clients include: Staff of Life, New Leaf, Facebook, Salesforce, Allbirds, Adobe, Amazon, Monterey Bay Aquarium, and others.) We are looking for a new team member to join us as the Lead Order Fulfillment and Operations person. This job is physical (on your feet most of the day) and entails fulfilling wholesale and internet orders. Specifically the job involves pulling inventory, counting, a quick quality control check, packing, and printing out a shipping label. The ability to work with our Operations Manager to prioritize orders based on their due date is also key. Other duties include monthly inventory counts, record keeping via our order system, other shipping projects and other clerical and operation’s related tasks. There is some lifting of boxes (25 lbs max), and keeping the fulfillment area organized and clean. Previous order fulfillment/operations experience would be awesome. We are looking for a motivated, self-starter, to "own" our fulfillment process, learn the ropes and make it your own. Important traits include: ok with repetition and counting (and more counting!), good organization, eye for detail, ability to prioritize, good communication, problem solver, team player, caring about our natural world and a sense of fun. Our team is small however we have a strong sense of purpose, and we enjoy our days. This is a full-time (40 hours/week) Monday -Friday position (10 a.m. - 5 p.m.) We offer a competitive salary, paid sick days, health insurance stipend, raises, bonuses, benefits, free reusable products, and the opportunity to grow within the company.
