SANTA MONICA, CA — Ben & Jerry's on Main Street permanently closed this month, the company told Patch. "This shop was our first Scoop Shop on the West Coast and most recently Patrik Mirahmadi enjoyed 11 wonderful years with the great Santa Monica community," a Ben & Jerry's spokesperson told Patch. Mirahmadi plans to find a new location in the Santa Monica area soon, the company said. A new shop is also planned for 253 S. Beverly Drive in Beverly Hills in the near future. An exact date has not yet been announced. Other nearby Ben & Jerry's locations are Venice Beach, the Howard Hughes Center, the Sherman Oaks Galleria, Burbank, or at Hollywood and Highland.
