HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — A man with two pending warrants was arrested with drugs last Thursday in Hackettstown, after being approached by an officer who was aware of those warrants, according to police.
The man, 38-year-old Gregory Becker, had a $250 Mount Olive Township Municipal Court criminal warrant and a $750 Mount Olive Township Municipal Court traffic warrant.
Becker fled as he was being led to a police car, running across route 46 and causing cars to swerve and come to a sudden stop, police said. He was caught going into an alleyway.
Police said Becker had in his possession one wax fold containing suspected heroin, four empty wax folds, and several hypodermic needles.
He was charged with third-degree possession of heroin, third-degree resisting arrest, fourth-degree resisting arrest, and fourth-degree obstructing administration of law enforcement. They were also charged with two disorderly persons offenses, including possession of hypodermic needles, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Becker was released on all charges, with pending court appearances.
