Hear what our employees say about working here: www.rafn.com/team. We are seeking an alert and interested candidate to join our Rafn team as a full-time Tool Room Assistant and Delivery Driver. This is an excellent long-term career opportunity with a great company! Job Description: You will aid the Tool Attendant with various tasks in the tool room associated with supply, repair, order and inventory management. Drives deliveries to jobsites located in the Seattle and greater Puget Sound area. Load/unloads/exchanges tools and equipment at jobsites. You: To be successful in this role you must be timely, reliable and willing to apply yourself daily. Preferred candidate will be knowledgeable with tools, directional navigation, and be comfortable safely driving larger vehicles in and around metro areas (no CDL requirement). Must be customer service oriented. Bring your positive attitude and willingness to learn and we will train the right candidate. Conditions: Work is performed in a combination of office, shop or outside environments and is regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise associated with construction. Some work may be performed sitting. Working conditions will mainly be in an outside environment on a highly active job site, exposed to dust, odors, fumes and noise associated with commercial construction. Job sites may be exposed to hazardous materials or other waste materials. Work performed may require walking and or standing and sitting for extended periods of time, on hard uneven surfaces at work site or in shop or parking lot areas. Noise level varies from moderate to high with some exposure to loud noises. BENEFITS: Benefit eligible the first of the month following 60 days employment. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires the ability to hear, speak and understand the spoken word to respond promptly to calls for assistance and to be able to communicate clearly. Written and oral communication skills are required. Must be able to kneel/squat/crawl/push/pull and climb occasionally, as well as reach outright and overhead. Must have the dexterity and manual skill required to operate power tools and equipment, camera, the keyboard of a computer terminal, cell phone. This position also requires the ability to operate a motorized vehicle and to maneuver through various types of terrain (asphalt, gravel and uneven surfaces) in the environment. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: • US citizen or proof of legal residency • Minimum age of 18 • High School graduate or equivalent • Washington State driver’s license, proof of insurance and satisfactory driving record are required • Pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check required Additional experience, education and certification and/or special training is preferred, such as forklift certification and operation. Will train the right candidate! Maintain First aid/CPR, safe driver training and other certifications, as required and provided by Rafn.
