SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — Three San Diego County-hosted COVID-19 vaccination sites will begin offering evening hours starting Thursday, public health officials announced. The clinics in East, North and South County will administer Pfizer and Moderna vaccines to people with and without appointments. People are welcome to drop-in for a first dose or a second dose that is a follow up to a vaccine received elsewhere, according to the county. "With 1.5 million San Diegans now having received at least one dose of vaccine, and with vaccination sites more widespread, we are able to improve convenience," said Dr. Wilma Wooten, the county's public health officer. "By offering evening hours, the county is providing the public even more options to help get us to herd immunity and back to the things we love." The three sites are: El Cajon: 1-8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday at East Public Health Center, 367 N. Magnolia Ave.Chula Vista: 1-8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday at South Region Live Well Center at Chula Vista, 690 Oxford St.Oceanside: 1-8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday at North Coastal Live Well Health Center, 1701 Mission Ave.Anyone 16 and older who lives, works or goes to school in the county can now receive a COVID-19 vaccine at no cost.
