Livermore Gets Bike Lane On First Street

LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore bicyclists now have their own lane on northbound First Street at N. Mines Road. The green lane is located next to the sidewalk. Drivers are not permitted to drive in this lane, but now have their own right turn-only lane, police said. There is still a left turn-only lane and two lanes for drivers heading straight through the intersection. The road change went into effect last week.
