We are COTTONMOUTH, THE HEAVIEST BLUES BAND IN THE WORLD! We are working on an album of original music now and need someone serious yesterday! We are connected and have gigs waiting after Covid. It would be awesome if you played some keys ala John Paul Jones...or some guitar...but it is not at all necessary! We are advanced players and you need to be pro and solid but not technically a virtuoso. Soul is the key attribute you need...anyone can learn a riff! We have a 24/7 lockout rehearsal and recording studio and we're on it! My drummer is powerful, skilled, and amazing and my singer can actually sing like a soul man every night...and he's a badass on the harmonica too! We are a performing band not a bar band for 4 sets of Eagles and Bob Seger covers. We will however play corporate events and private parties for a fee. Our set is 60 to 70% original with special covers further defining who we are and where we came from and also to play to the crowd that's present. Our covers range from Black Sabbath - The Wizard to J Geils - First I look at the Purse! Montrose, Bowie and Trower are favorites too. Everything we do is pumped and blowin up! When we settle into our bluesier mode it's Hendrix - Red House and 3 original Blues tunes we wrote in the Gary Moore type of style!...see below... The rest of our songs are a hybrid style of hard rock and blues and we don't apologize for doing anything we want!...be assured, the rest of our original shit is fucking heavy Blues slam...but we're never afraid to take it way down dynamically for the proper tension and release of all good music! If you're into jammin on Sundays with some pals this is NOT your band, we are serious and we have our album coming soon and bookings pending Covid restrictions...all over the West Coast. We will rehearse 3 times a week till you are up to speed and then start the gig cycle when we get the green light!
