Description
BOLINGBROOK, IL — Anticipating approval of the Pfizer vaccine for children under the age of 16, the Village of Bolingbrook is looking to gauge interest among 12- to 18-year-olds in the area who wish to get vaccinated.
The Pfizer vaccine is currently approved by the FDA for use in people 16 and older, though the agency could green-light children above the age of 12 to get the vaccine as soon as this week.
Filling out the interest form does not guarantee or schedule an appointment, but will be used to determine if demand is high enough for the Will County Health Department to send Bolingbrook additional vaccine supply dedicated to 12- to 15-year-olds.
Access the interest form here.
If a vaccination clinic opens for people 12 to 18, interested people will receive an email invitation to schedule an appointment. A parent or guardian has to be present with the child at the time of the appointment.
