BOLINGBROOK, IL — Anticipating approval of the Pfizer vaccine for children under the age of 16, the Village of Bolingbrook is looking to gauge interest among 12- to 18-year-olds in the area who wish to get vaccinated. The Pfizer vaccine is currently approved by the FDA for use in people 16 and older, though the agency could green-light children above the age of 12 to get the vaccine as soon as this week. Filling out the interest form does not guarantee or schedule an appointment, but will be used to determine if demand is high enough for the Will County Health Department to send Bolingbrook additional vaccine supply dedicated to 12- to 15-year-olds.
