Description
CHICO, CA — Patch reader Ryan Barnes shot these gorgeous photos around Buttermilk Bend Trail near the covered bridge in South Yuba River State Park.
The orange butterfly is a Northern Checker Spot and the blue butterfly is a Pipevine Swallowtail, Barnes told Patch. The second photo shows what is the beginnings of a controlled burn to hopefully prevent wildfires this year, he said.
