BEVERLY HILLS, CA — Metro work will affect Wilshire Boulevard from Tuesday to Thursday, the city announced. Deliveries of construction materials like steel rebar and concrete to the future Wilshire/Rodeo station will occur during nighttime hours, so Wilshire Boulevard will close to one lane in each direction from 12 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday. Left turns will also be restricted from Wilshire Boulevard at El Camino Drive, Beverly Drive, S. Canon Drive, and Crescent Drive, the city announced. Traffic lights on Wilshire and Beverly Drive, South Canon Drive, and Crescent Drive will be turned to flashing light signals. Short-term closures of traffic lanes on Spalding Drive, South Lasky Drive, and Charleville Boulevard are expected soon as crews install instruments on 10-foot poles. Crews say they expect to finish excavating the station by the end of May, and concrete pouring on the foundation of the future station will begin in June. Construction of the Wilshire/Rodeo station began in September 2019 and is expected to finish in 2025. For more information about the progress of the Metro extension, visit here.
