MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — Severe thunderstorms throughout the day Tuesday caused significant flooding in the Birmingham metro, which has prompted Mountain Brook school officials to delay start at Mountain Brook Junior High School Wednesday morning. School will begin at 10 a.m. Flooding throughout the city closed several roads Tuesday afternoon and evening, including major flooding on Overbrook Road and Mountain Brook Parkway, near MBJH.
