Description
Looking to rehome our 5-month old AKC registered red/rust female Doberman pincher. She is in excellent health, had all her shots, and is about 40 lbs and expected to reach 70 to 75. Currently, she is not spayed. She is crate trained and house broken. She is also leash trained and responds well to the commands we have taught her (e.g. come, sit down, lay down, stay, etc.). We need to find another home for her that can provide more socializing and exercise. We are retired senior citizens and just do not have the energy and time to adequately meet them. Our dog’s name is Trace. She has been trained using mostly praise and some treats. She has is not been exposed to any type physically abusive behavior and is very responsive to verbal reinforcement and loves to be scratched and loves and seeks out affection. She is typical of a doberman in that she is very alert to what is going on around her.
We are asking for a rehoming fee of $400 to cover all the medical and other investments we made to support her needs. We paid close to $3000 for her at 8 weeks old. Included with her is her leather leash, walking collar, all her toys, dog water and food dishes, what will be left of the current bag of food, 100’ cable run, crate blankets, medium size and large crate, dog bed, etc.
We are ideally looking for a future owner who is familiar with this type of breed’s temperament and personality and does not rely on physical discipline. Prospective owners will be screened for suitability and we reserve the right to refuse transfer if we fail to see the person, home, or future environment as not a good fit for all involved.
