HELLO. We are two musicians looking for a couple more. We are: bass/vox and drummer who have known and played music with each other for 20+ years in a variety of locales, fair and foul. We have a dedicated space in Montgomery Park, because we are lazy and do not like moving gear. You are: guitarist or keyboard player (or both!) whose will is more important than your skill with an interest in playing shows and/or recording (eventually), but mostly just someone who enjoys playing music and making art out of it, or at least trying to. We like: post-punk, power pop, new wave. We would like to play some relatively danceable, fun, goth-y music, ideally with some sounds that aren’t just guitars or drums. The list of bands here would be impossible to pin down, but we have played together in street punk bands, ska bands (we were teenagers, in our defense), indie rock, shoegaze and glammy trash rock bands. We are both pretty versatile and flexible in terms of ideas and personality, but have at least a demo’s worth of stuff to start with as a starting point that I am happy to share after an email or two. We both have our shots and would like to get started sooner rather than later, so I would love to hear from you if you are interested by this ad. If I don’t respond, please don’t take it personally.
