We have a rollicking little rock band, three years now, playing some originals and some covers, and getting some local gigs. Covid hit, and we lost our singer. We love to take songs from bands like The Motels and The Eurythmics and “rock ‘em up” a little bit. We realize we need someone who can actually hit the higher notes. I am singing now, and doing ok, but we’d like better. I can play “Piece of My Heart” by Janis Joplin, but I can’t sing it. Basically, we’re The Blackhearts without Joan Jett. We have all the resources you could ever want - instruments, PA, rehearsal space, etc. We base our activities around family hours - I have two kids in elementary and middle school. We don’t rehearse til midnight or go looking for gigs five hundred miles away. We’re multi-racial and multigenerational, all sufficient, down to earth dudes who look at music as a healthy, fun hobby. And we all live within 3 miles of each other, right here in North Durham. We are all fully vaccinated. So, if you are a singer, or might want to be a singer, please consider responding to this ad.
