There's a lot of BS shoveled on Craigslist. I'm not going to waste your time. I'm a contractor, 58 years old, running my own business since I was 15. I've learned a lot, made great money. Mostly my work now is kitchens, baths, smaller rehabs. I've flipped houses but good deals are hard to find. I have excavation and landscaping equipment and enjoy working on those projects. I've hired dozens of guys in the past several years and each time I find someone with talent, skills, drive, I tell them the same thing. "I'm not going to be doing this forever. Why don't we discuss how this business can transition so you own and run it rather than me?" I haven't found the right person yet, someone who will work with me, bring their ideas and energy, share the bounty, share the rewards of working hard and being proud of what we accomplish. Probably the biggest reason I'm successful is I'm a good salesperson. People trust me. The reason they trust me is I do what I say I'll do, I will never take advantage of anyone and I always do my best work no matter the job or client. It might help you to know that I love to teach what I know and learn from others. I'm generous and pay gladly for good work. Happy to share.
