We are located within 30 to 120 minutes from: Rhinelander, Ironwood, Hurley, Springstead, Eagle River, Boulder Junction, Butternut, Minocqua, Wausau, Lac du Flambeau, Oma, Wakefield, Manitowish Waters, Woodruff, Tomahawk, Bessemer, Park Falls, St. Germain, Sayner, Antigo, Presque Isle etc... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MAKE A DIFFERENCE, WHILE SPENDING TIME IN NATURE FOR THIS REWARDING SHORT-TERM JOB! ** Earn up to $1200 while spending time on the lake! ** Help with restoration of the original ecosystem of a local lake and support the well-being of the connected Turtle River lake system! ** Join us to make some extra spending cash! ** Gig planned to begin last week in May, depending on weather and coordination efforts. --- $15.00 per hour (8 hour days with breaks and free lunch) --- APPLY ASAP-- Limited positions available and they will fill up! This is a local lake restoration effort granted by the DNR. It intends to support Rice Lake, Turtle River and the lower lakes that will likely be effected in the future. The Rice Lake Association, Inc. is contracting persons over the age of 16 to hand pull the invasive aquatic species, Curly Leaf Pondweed, in Rice Lake in Iron County. Those persons can expect to work as crew-members in light aluminum boats and be on the water for full time days. Each contractor will work up to 80 hours, total, over a two- week (or more) period. The pay will be at an hourly rate of $15.00 to be paid weekly. Lunch will be provided each day. **OK to invite friends to apply. When you inquire, put in a request for working as a team on the lake! Requests cannot be guaranteed but will be considered based on the safety and technical needs of this project. **OK to BYOB (bring your own BOAT) ;-) -- If you have a boat, The Rice Lake Association Inc may also be willing to rent your boat for up to $550 ($275 per week) in addition to your $15 per hour day rate! However, not all boats can be accepted.
