Your child’s participation could help us better understand visual perception and body awareness. The experiment is very simple and requires minimal effort. You or your child may be asked to come for one or two sessions including cognitive assessments and behavioral experiments. Three experiments will be done: 1) this experiment involves estimating one’s ability to reach across a table, 2) this experiment involves wearing a blindfold and assesses vision in low-light conditions, 3) this experiment involves making visual judgments in virtual reality. The individual participating must be 9-17 years old, with normal hearing and normal vision (or corrected to normal), and no congenital, physical, medical or neurological abnormalities. All participants must be able to follow simple instructions and complete the tasks mentioned above. If you let your child participate, your child will receive $10/half-hour per session, and should take approximately 3 hours.
