Field Technician FULL-TIME, WASHINGTON DC About the job: Throne aims to become the smart bathroom company, with the goal of hosting 1% of all bathroom visits on our growing network of modular bathrooms. We leverage custom hardware with cloud connected IOT suite, user facing App, and underutilized urban spaces to provide convenient access to ultra-clean and well-stocked bathrooms. Throne Labs is looking for a mobile technician deploying and maintaining our network of smart, modular bathrooms in Washington, DC. This position is responsible for keeping our fleet of Thrones functioning properly. Thrones are proprietary technology which include mechanical components, plumbing, sensors, electrical components and on-board processing, cellular connectivity, and solar/battery power system. You’ll report to our Operations Director, who works closely with Throne’s founding team that consists of start-up veterans, creative innovators, and portable sanitation experts. At Throne You Will... - Keep up with day-to-day field and warehouse based technical maintenance and operational needs for a growing fleet of throne bathrooms - Receive new Thrones from our manufacturer and assemble final sub-components from our D.C. operations facility - Have the flexibility to be on-call after hours - Interact with the Operations Director as well as engineering, operations, cleaning, and maintenance teams to identify and quickly solve technical challenges - Focus on electrical, mechanical, and plumbing related challenges, including solar and battery powered systems, internet connected components, water valves, mechanical actuators, and more We Are Looking For... -A disciplined team member who does what it takes to get the job done! - 3+ years experience as a technician with broad skills, such as low voltage electricity, mechanical and IOT (Internet of Things) systems - Having experience running fleets of vehicles (electric scooters, bikes, mopeds) is a plus - Highly collaborative with the proven ability to communicate effectively with a remote, cross-functional team - Ability to pull out lessons from wins and losses and apply to future strategies and product improvements - Math Skills! The ability to understand fractions, measurements and math problems - Manual Dexterity! You will need to use your hands with precision on small items a/o small spaces. You must be quick and confident with your hands - Stamina! Technicians are often on their feet for many hours, or called upon to lift heavy items. You will need stamina to perform this position - Solar power, cellular and basic battery experience - Personal passion for Throne’s mission and a proclivity for poop puns Compensation for this position includes hourly pay and competitive health coverage.
