Scissortail Hill Equestrian, off 183 in Southeast Travis County, is looking for a responsible, reliable individual to help with daily operations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, mucking stalls, moving horses between stalls and turnouts, keeping water buckets full, preparing grain, feeding grain and hay and other barn duties. Candidates must be responsible, dependable, have positive attitudes and be able to maintain communication with the rest of the barn staff. Experience handling horses and the ability to lift at least 50 lbs are required. Shifts are available Thursday through Monday; a long-term full-time hire is preferred. Hourly pay will be based on experience handling horses. Foreign language speakers are welcome as long as they have a grasp of basic barn English and can understand instructions. Looking for hard workers who don't mind getting dirty and working hard for the benefit of the animals; this is not a riding position. Send your resume to us at [email protected].
