Quad, Inc. is an owner/manager of affordable housing for the disabled throughout the Portland metro area. We are an organization with a mission of providing housing and services which allow individuals with severe physical disabilities to live independently. We have been serving the Portland area since 1980. We are currently looking for a maintenance technician to help us maintain our buildings, grounds and mechanical systems. We offer full time work, full benefits and a 401(k) retirement plan. You must like technology, are able to travel, communicate via Microsoft Teams, and can patch a sheetrock hole without a trace. You must have credible references to apply. Here are more of the particulars: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Minor plumbing, electrical and mechanical repair/replacement • Dry wall repair/replacement • Painting • Grounds keeping and Grounds Maintenance • Assist with all apartment turnover duties • Special Projects as assigned • Occasional errands for parts and supplies • Ability to interact with staff and residents • Maintains accurate and timely service records utilizing the Real Page Facilities Plus smart phone app. • Responsive and efficient with tasks adhering to safety and best practices. • Performs and documents preventative maintenance using the Real Page Facilities Plus smart phone app. • Shows initiative in identifying and addressing potential repair/improvement projects. • Keep accurate time, mileage and repair logs using the Real Page Facilities Plus smart phone app. • Maintains the maintenance closet at each project ensuring it is organized and stocked. REQUIREMENTS • Verifiable experience and good references in Apartment Maintenance duties or similar work • Physical ability to perform repeated bending, stooping, lifting (50lb minimum) and stretching, including climbing ladders and working on roofs, to accomplish job tasks. • Ability to travel to and from satellite facilities, valid drivers license, dependable transportation, proof of Insurance. • Must pass SDSD Criminal Background Check and Pre-employment Screening • Good language skills and written communication skills • Able to work with or without supervision and to perform assigned tasks consistently and in a timely fashion. • Must have a working smart phone (Android or IOS) with data plan. • Available by phone for emergencies both during and after hours.
